Art – Nature – Change
The theme of this year‘s Forest Art Conference is “Art – Nature – Change”. We are currently facing a variety of changes: societal change, digital change and especially the climate crisis and the impact it has on our forests. How does art relate to those processes? How do we handle them as a society? These questions inform the works of the 23 regional and international artists invited to work on the Forest Art Path. To provide a space for discussion and reflection on these issues, the Association for International Forest Art and Schader-Foundation invited those interested to the conference.
The talks offered a comprehensive insight into questions of change from different perspectives especially concerning societal changes and as well as that of discourse, socio-ecological transformation, the role of arts in times of change, but also acoustic ecology.
In Dialogue with Forest Art Creators
The subsequent poster session displayed the artists‘ works to offer participants an opportunity to acquaint themselves with new works. The Dialogue Cafés took place in the afternoon and provided a space for artists and experts from different fields to engage in meaningful discussion and reflection in a smaller setting. Together with experts from areas such as nature, geography, culture and geodasy, the artists‘ works were examined with regard to questions related to “Art – Nature – Change”.
